Day 99: New Trick

It was a bit of a miserable, dreary day today, so we spent our afternoon playing in the living room.  Aside from Michal getting frustrated after she knocked her toys just out of her reach - you would think this would motivate her to find a way to move and get it, but no - we had fun playing, watching Bailey, and working on a new trick.

New trick!  For a while now, Michal has been able to balance herself while standing next to a chair/toy/parent, but while she has practiced pulling herself up using our hands, it is hard to discern just how much of that action was purely her superhuman baby strength and how much the slight assistance we knowingly/unknowingly give in the endeavor.

Michal was sitting on my lap next to this fun table - I had pulled it closer to us so she could have access to all of the stuff she could not reach if she was sitting on her own on the floor.  She occasionally hit something to make the lights flash and music play, and suddenly, she grasped the sides and started to pull.  Completely on her own, she pulled herself up to stand.  Sure, she had a few inches head start being in my lap, but it was exciting all the same.
