Day 17: Hanging Out

It is so much fun watching Michal grow and develop.  Sometimes it is hard to remember that just days or weeks ago, certain "skills" were still elusive.  Instead of just looking at toys, now she will reach for them, grab them, and then promptly smack herself in the forehead with it.  Twice.  I will admit, I laughed at her for being so silly.

Sometimes these discoveries are completely out of the blue, not a gradual increase or development of skills.  One of her new favorite things to do?  Throw herself backwards.  No idea why she does it.  When she's sleeping in her crib, she will arch her back, tilting her head as if she is trying to see behind her.  She does this when eating - problematic to keep her bottle in her mouth when wiggles like this.  

Today she was lounging on the Boppy next to me on the bed when she scooted herself backwards and ended up like this.
