Day 28: All Elbows

I have a secret to share: I just love choosing outfits for Michal.  Okay, maybe that is not such a huge revelation.  It is just that I've never thought of myself as a girly girl, so I'm a little surprised at how much I love playing dress up with her.  I amuse myself in figuring out who gets to see which clothing - what will she wear to day care, what will she wear to my work.  When you add in the diaper coordination, well, then I start to feel silly.  One of my favorite pieces in her wardrobe?  Her jeans.  They're too cute.  


One of Michal's new "things" are her elbows.  The past week, she has this tendency to prop herself up on her elbows.  Time to get in the car seat? elbows.  Hitch a ride in her stroller? elbows.  A warm comfy bath? elbows.  Everywhere she goes, her elbows somehow end up behind her, propping her up.  It's amusing, because I am not sure she has an idea of how this could help mobilize her, it's just this thing she does.  It does allow for funny poses, as if she is impersonating someone a bit older.  


Oh, and her other funny thing - sometimes, when she really wants to smile, she ends up just opening her mouth really wide.  It makes for a strange gaping smile, but you can tell she's just thrilled beyond belief.  

   "Hey, guys!  What's going on?  Want to come hang out?  

Well, just come pull up a seat and let's chat!"
